Are You Missing The Point?
Are You Missing The Point?
2 Corinthians 6:1 Working together with him, we also urge you not to accept the undeserved kindness of God and miss its purpose.
Some people today do what is good and hate what is bad even though they do not know Bible standards. Why is that? It is because of their conscience. It prevents many people from doing evil things. God notices and appreciates people who listen to their conscience.
Romans 2:15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them, and by their own thoughts they are being accused or even excused.
Many people believe in personal salvation. That if you are a good person, that is enough, you will be saved.
Some are very spiritual. They feed the poor, they are kind to people, they pray for people. God notices these things and appreciates them.
All of the above things have value in the eyes of God.
The Only Way You Can Be Saved
No matter how noble anything is that you do personally, it cannot save you. The only way to be reconciled to God is the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ. That is because the only thing that removes sin completely is the shed blood of Jesus Christ. I know it’s graphic, but it’s a fact. (1 John 1:7, Revelation 7:9, 14)
God loves you and wants you to be saved. You might not realize he has tried to contact you.
Here is the account of Cornelius, the first non-Jewish convert to Christianity.
Acts 10:1-5 2 He was a devout man who feared God together with all his household, and he made many gifts of mercy to the people and made supplication to God continually. 3 About the ninth hour+ of the day,* he saw plainly in a vision an angel of God come in to him and say: “Cornelius!” 4 Cornelius stared at him, terrified, and asked: “What is it, Lord?” He said to him: “Your prayers and gifts of mercy have ascended as a remembrance before God.+ 5 So now send men to Jopʹpa and summon a man named Simon who is called Peter.
Do you see what happened? God recognized the things that Cornelius did, and even had him meet up with a Christian Witness, Peter. After that, Cornelius and his household received holy spirit and were baptized for putting faith in the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Have you ever had a Christian Witness of Yehowah approach you? Perhaps God has seen the good you have done and heard your prayers and is trying to draw you to him.
Become Reconciled to God
We also entreat you not to accept the undeserved kindness of God and miss its purpose.( 2 Corinthians 6:1)
The purpose of God’s undeserved kindness is to ‘reconcile a world to himself’ by means of Christ. (2 Cor 5:19) This is the time for us to apply ourselves even more zealously to sounding out the entreaty: “Become reconciled to God”? (2 Cor 5:20) Our task is not simply to tell people that if they turn to God, he will help them with all their problems and they will feel better. Many are looking merely for that when they go to church, and the churches are eager to cater to this desire. (2 Tim 4:3, 4) That is not the goal of our ministry.
The good new we preach is that Yehowah, out of his love, is willing to forgive trespasses by means of Christ. Thus, individuals can break free from alienation and become reconciled to God. (Rom 5:10; 8:32)
“The especially acceptable time,” however,is fast coming to a close. (2 Cor 6:2)
Just as in the cases of Sodom and Gomorrah, the flood of Noah’s day and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 C.E. , once in a judgement period like Armageddon, it is too late. There is no resurrection for those who die during a judgement period. The warning was given, there was no mistake. They simply refused to accept God’s love.
If you want to wear a beard you can. Look at this picture of the Lord as the perfect example of hair length, beard and mustache. All optional.
The Two Destinies
Most people are going to live on a restored Paradise Earth and will be perfect like Adam and Eve before they sinned.
Psalms 37:29 The righteous will possess the earth,And they will live forever on it.
Job 33:25 Let his flesh become fresher than in youth;Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.’
Isaiah 33:24 And no resident will say: “I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.
They are known as the Great Crowd.
Revelation 7:9 After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.
There are only 144,000 people out of all humanity who will be going to live in Heaven.
Revelation 14:1 Then I saw, and look! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.
These are known as the little flock.
Luke 12:32 “Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom.

Information About Your Prayer of Dedication and Baptism
These are the final two steps noted above.
1 Peter 3:21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, is also now saving you (not by the removing of the filth of the flesh, but by the request to God for a good conscience), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Pray to Yehowah and tell him you want to dedicate yourself to him and have a clean conscience.
This is known as your prayer of dedication.
The Greek word baʹpti·sma (baptism) signifies “the processes of immersion, submersion and emergence,” according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words.
You must be completely immersed in water and answer two questions.
The first question is, “On the basis of the sacrifice of Yehohshua, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Yehowah to do his will?”
The second question is, “Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Yehowah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?”
